Basin Gulch historical drilling and trench results

More than 320 historical drill holes have been completed at the Basin Gulch Property, with highlight intercepts including 1.8 g/t gold over 162 meters from surface.

Lannister Mining reports historical drill highlights at Basin Gulch that start at surface and run for long intervals in oxide-hosted gold and silver mineralization, plus trench highlights carrying both metals. These are historical results; the company plans confirmation drilling of historical intercepts before they support a Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.

What are the best historical drill results at Basin Gulch?

The strongest reported intercepts are 1.8 g/t Au over 162 meters from surface and 0.66 g/t Au over 326 meters from surface for width, and 156 g/t Au over 3 meters for grade. All five highlights are listed below exactly as Lannister Mining reports them.

What did trenching find at Basin Gulch?

Trenching returned gold and silver together over long surface intervals. Trenches expose rock at surface, so these results describe the very top of the mineralized system.

How to read Basin Gulch drill numbers

Grade and length

Grade is stated in grams per tonne (g/t). 1 g/t Au means one gram of gold in each metric tonne of rock; Ag is silver. Length is the drilled interval. A long, moderate grade interval such as 0.66 g/t Au over 326 meters and a short, very high grade interval such as 156 g/t Au over 3 meters tell different stories, so both are reported.

Why from surface matters

Three of the five drill highlights start at surface. Lannister Mining describes the property as high grade gold and silver mineralization near surface, with significant implied mine design optimization flexibility. Near-surface mineralization can be reached without removing large amounts of barren rock first.

What historical means here

These results come from historical drilling and trenching, not from a current resource estimate. Lannister Mining plans confirmation drilling of historical intercepts and expansion drilling, then a Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate. See the Basin Gulch exploration plan.

Basin Gulch questions, answered

How many drill holes have been drilled at Basin Gulch?

More than 320 historical drill holes have been completed at the Basin Gulch Property. Lannister Mining reports highlight intersections from this drilling, including 0.66 g/t Au over 326 meters from surface and 156 g/t Au over 3 meters. The company plans to use the historical drilling, together with new work programs, in a future Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate.

What are the best historical drill results at Basin Gulch?

Lannister Mining lists these historical drill highlights: 1.8 g/t Au over 162 meters from surface, 0.66 g/t Au over 326 meters from surface, 3.2 g/t Au over 72 meters from surface, 156 g/t Au over 3 meters, and 25 g/t Au over 14 meters. These are historical results, which the company plans to confirm with new drilling.

What did trenching find at Basin Gulch?

Lannister Mining reports four trench highlights at Basin Gulch: 62 g/t Au and 32 g/t Ag over 159 meters, 4 g/t Au and 23 g/t Ag over 146 meters, 5 g/t Au and 54 g/t Ag over 34 meters, and 25 g/t Au and 45 g/t Ag over 61 meters. Trenches sample rock exposed at surface, so they show mineralization at the top of the system.

What does g/t Au mean in drill results?

g/t means grams per tonne, the standard way to state precious metal grade. 1 g/t Au means one gram of gold in every metric tonne of rock. Au is the chemical symbol for gold and Ag is silver. A result such as 1.8 g/t Au over 162 meters combines grade with length, and both matter when judging an intercept.

Why do intercepts from surface matter?

An intercept that starts from surface means mineralization begins at the top of the drill hole rather than deep underground. Near-surface mineralization can matter because it may be reachable without removing large amounts of barren rock. Lannister Mining says Basin Gulch has high grade gold and silver near surface, with significant implied mine design optimization flexibility.

Does Basin Gulch have a current mineral resource estimate?

This site does not state a current mineral resource estimate for Basin Gulch. Lannister Mining plans a future Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate built from historical drilling and new work programs, after expansion and confirmation drilling of historical intercepts. Until that estimate is published, the drill and trench numbers should be read as historical exploration results.

Is the Basin Gulch mineralization still open?

Yes. Lannister Mining states that the gold and silver mineralization at Basin Gulch is open in multiple directions and at depth, open along strike, and untested regionally. Open means drilling has not yet found the edges of the mineralized zone in those directions, which is why future drilling will also target additional mineralized areas within the property.
